Brilliant Blue & Red Bird Sculpture

This contemporary abstract sculpture is made with brilliant blues and reds. It was hand blown using the incalmo technique, which is an extremely complex technique where each section is made separately and then they are all joined together one at a time while the glass is still hot. The top also features an engraved battuto finish which is another complex and time consuming technique, adding even more complexity and character to this truly one-of-a-kind work of art.
